I mean, come on! I only have to put three ingredients in – bread mix, yeast, and water. What could be going wrong? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I love pickles, I’d have to say my favorite kind are my own home-made deli (garlic) pickles. Dill, sour, bread and butter pickles, I’ve almost never met a pickle I didn’t like. I like most pickles crisp and cold but sour pickles are exceptionally good at room temperature. How about you?

I think the garlic retards the yeast (not as fluffy as regular bread)… does it work better with garlic powder? or should I just brush with garlic butter after it is cooked? I want it infused to were you can just dip it in butter, or is garlic and yeast in dough not an option?

When I lived in Massachusetts I ate dinner at the home of a friend who made the best corn bread and cottage cheese based burgers I have ever tasted.Sometimes she made a loaf and sometimes they were like meatballs. I have lost contact with her since I moved and although I have searched the internet, I have been unsuccessful in finding the recipe. Are there any [lacto-ovo] vegetarians who know where i can find cottage cheese recipes online? Please help.

i eat oatmeal every morning (not from packets because those are high in sugar and i don’t like unnaturally sweet things) so i use the old fashion oats and raisins. then i have 7 grain bread with home made peanut butter and jelly (mind you my mom is a health freak) and then i have almonds and one banana… dinner is whatever my mom makes and i take a good portion… i know this is alot of writing but its not like im not eating well so i don’t know what could be wrong and i also drink plenty of water and i take daily vitamins

Anyone who has been in Subway knows the distinct odor that stains your clothes and hot boxes in your car the whole way home.
My father thinks its b/c of the bread and yeast, but i have made bread at home many times and never does it smell like butt. So my question, what is it in the subway restaurants that causes the strong odor?
Lah 0288: I have switched up my sandwich choice b/c like you i thought it was the veggies, but its like a general smell as you walk into the restaurant. You don’t even have to buy something. You could walk in stand around for 5 minutes, leave, and still smell like butt.

I’m a diabetic looking for different vegetables to eat and different vegetable recipes to cook. I’m tired of the same old things all the time. I tried Butternut Squash for the first time today and I really like it, but I can’t keep making it the way I did. I baked it til it was tender then put butter and honey over it and then added cinnamon. Even plain it didn’t taste bad, kind of like a sweet potato. But I am curious whether I should count it as a starch like white potatoes or bread or corn and peas. Thanks.

This will be a sweet bread based nutroll with spices. My partner at work is of Polish decent and said his grandmother used to make it, but unfortunately she took the recipe to her grave.
