Please give me advice about my 5 year relationship… I feel like I am being controlled?
Sep 17th
We moved out of state 2 years ago for his job promotion. Lets just say things have not been the greatest. I have been broken down emotionally and have even been seeing a psychologist about it. I have been belittled, humiliated, physically abused, and more. We moved for his job promotion, and I thought I would be able to go to nursing school here. The classes are day time only from 8-5pm. I work part time now and have had it told to me “how lucky I am”.. he has even told me in the past when I upset him, or refuse to accept certain things or situations that he is the “bread winner”. I want to move back home and get my LPN, and made it completely clear to him that I will not have him support me while I am in school for these 2 years. I am only 22 and he is 28. He is making me feel so bad about this. The program is 22 months long, and I have told him that is not forever! If he really loved me he would support me and realize that my education benefits him too. He just can’t see past the fact that he will not have anyone here, and he is making me feel like I am all he has, and like I am abandoning him or something. I just refuse to accept his support… I have been accepting it so long that I feel like I have lost myself, and to accept it on a full time basis and to relinquish all of my financial freedom seems completely unfeasible. I want to have a relationship with me, but he said that he couldn’t last 22 months… he said, “I need a woman, I depend on a woman”… not financially, but emotionally. Is it just because he needs someone to control? I asked him that. He keeps telling me that I am giving up on him but I am only trying to make our lives better. He is just mad that I will be going back to be with my family and having a fun time while he is stuck in a place with no one… and he just got a DUI and his driving privileges may be suspended, and he is making me feel bad for that too… please help me

How can you make “fluffy” coating like you find on general tso’s or sweet & sour…?
Sep 17th
…chicken?
All the coatings I’ve ever made are very thin, but restaurants I buy those dishes in always have big fluffy coating/breading around the chicken.
Do you wanna know what it was like to be a kid in the 1930s thru 1970s?

Those Born 1930-1979
READ TO THE BOTTOM FOR QUOTE OF THE MONTH BY JAY LENO. IF YOU DON’T READ ANYTHING ELSE—VERY WELL STATED
TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930′s, 40′s, 50′s, 60′s and 70′s!!
First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn’t get tested for diabetes.
Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.
We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.
As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags.
Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.
We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.
We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.
We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank Kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren’t overweight because,
WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!
We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.
We played…tag your it, Indians & Cowboys. The Indians always lost the battle. Snow ball fights….who could hit a moving car with a snow ball and run like heck without being caught.
No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.
We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.
We didn’t rush to the emergency room for a scrap on the knee, or bashing our heads into something that got in the way.
We did not have Playstations, Nintendos,
X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVDs, no surround-sound or CDs, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or chat rooms……..
WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!
We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.
We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.
We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.
We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!
Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn’t had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!
These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!
The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.
We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!
Kind of makes you want to run through the
house with scissors, doesn’t it?!
The quote of the month is by Jay Leno:
“With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?”

Is there any other kind of bread that tastes like Amish Friendship Bread?
Sep 16th
I love friendship bread. Two years ago, near the holidays, I had my first taste and was then given a starter. I’ve decided it’s the perfect holiday food but I hate all those starters you wind up with when you’re finished. No one ever wants them (some people act like it’s the plague) and I just hate throwing away all that food (or almost-food, anyway.) Some people suggest baking all the starters up and freezing the bread, but being young and single I don’t really want a billion loaves of bread in my freezer.
Does anyone know of any kinds of breads that taste similar to friendship bread? The friendship bread I have made is extremely moist and sweet with cinnamon mixed in and sprinkled on top. It almost tastes like cake. I’d love to find another kind of bread that tastes similar or another way to make friendship bread that doesn’t leave me with tons of starters. Thanks for any help!
How do I make a sandwich like Subway (with Italian herb and cheese bread)?
Sep 16th
I love their sandwiches but I want to make my own with their bread recipe, I know there is no real recipe but what is the closet one? I don’t have a bread machine, so is that a problem? What kind of ingredients they use, ex. what type of lettuce, mayo and more to get the same taste. Thanks
