I’m looking for a certain kind of bread. I used to eat it in the cafeteria at work (I worked in an Indian owned casino, so I think the dish might be Native American in origin). The bread itself didn’t have a lot of flavor, but there was sweet onions and cranberries (I’m pretty sure they were cranberries). Every so often there would be a piece that had butter or oil that had soaked into the bottom, and those pieces were like diamonds in the rough! I don’t think there was yeast in the bread. The way it was cut made it seem like the batter was poured into a shallow baking pan, on top of the sweet onions and cranberries, then cut into squares. It’s been a few years since I’ve worked there but lately I’ve been craving this bread so badly! I was thinking about making it to go with our Christmas dinner, if I can find the recipe. Does anyone know what I’m talking about?
When I say Indian, I don’t mean from India. I mean Native American. Please read completely!

I was over an exes house for Thanksgiving a little over two years ago and her grandma had brought these desserts that I haven’t be able to figure out the name of since.
There were two of them, both looked like a submarine sandwich roll, or sort of a loaf of italian bread without any seeds or creases. They sort of looked like a long roll shaped danish. Inside one resembled small poppy seeds or something, but it was very sweet and very tasty. The other one was more of like a nut spread. It was a brownish paste, also semi-sweet and tasty. They were not home made and came in plastic containers. I’d appreciate any help figuring out what these desserts were.

I got the machine 2nd hand and have no manuel – I don’t want one I just need a recipe & I will go from there. The thing is I don’t know if it makes a 1.5 lb loaf or 2 lb so I don’t know which recipe to use. Thank you in advance for your help. Even if you have no recipe do you know what size loaf this machine makes?
Thanks anyway Miss Libby I don’t want a manual (or a manuel lol ooops!) really just trying to connect with someone who might have the same machine & some info re: the machine capacity & loaf size. I can start with a 1 lb loaf and go from there.

I first heard of Jelly Bread from a song by Booker T & The MGs..some of their song titles are named after food (Green Onions, my sweet potatoe,etc)
But is there really a food called Jelly Bread? If so, how does it taste and how do you make it?
