There shouldn’t be a problem. Apple sauce can substitute for sugar and fat in some recipes, so I can’t see why this won’t work. Sometimes too many bananas can make your bread heavy or over powered with the banana flavor. Try it and let us know.

No, I make banana bread with applesauce and I add in cinnamon. Cinnamon is great in anything, I say.

The applesauce will work in this recipe. You shouldn’t worry about the cinnamon for there will not really be that much in the applesauce to really mess with flavor of the bread. The applesauce will probably make this recipe bread more moist since there is no oil being called for the ingredients. Apples, cinnamon and bananas go very well together flavor wise.
