Wheat bread. It is healthier and they will gain fat through other healthy foods such as milk.

Brown, always brown.
Stay away from all white goods and teach your little one to do the same.

well like you said brown is better but white is more fattening which is what they need at that age. but have no fear because you can always go for the best of both bread. we have that in England its got the goodness of brown breed but looks like white and has tat little bit of extra fat. i don’t knw if you have it in America though

if you really are concerned see a nutritionist, but its not serious at all as we all know
maybe if you feed him bread more than once a day rotate the type of bread he gets, it should help

Stick with the brown. Wheat bread and multigrain breads are far superior for the human body than white bread. It was recently shown in a study that the amount of white bread consumed by a person has a higher correlation to obesity than the amount of fat they eat. Wheat!!!!

Brown bread, multi grain bread or whole meal bread. Stay away from white it can cause constipation in anybody and helps kids develop a taste for over processed foods.
My daughter (3) and my son(10mo) only have wholemeal bread or multigrain and they love it. The don’t know any different and it is better for them.

Start him off right. Most people do not get enough
grains in their diet. I grew up eating white bread, and if you come at me with brown bread , I do not want it. Yuk!
But brown bread is so much healthier for you. Train his taste buds the healthier way.

In a standard size loaf of white bread there are 9 teaspoons of sugar! So its brown for me

I would give him white or wheat, not whole grain because the whole grain actually has grains and seeds in it which could be difficult for him to chew and swallow. I would try iron kids bread, it is an enriched white bread.

The fat in white bread is not “good” fat.
Give him whole wheat, preferable whole grain, bread. Dempsters makes a really good one that looks like regular bread (some people don’t like the grainy bread) but it has “whole grain whole wheat” as the first ingredient on the list. That’s the best bread you can feed him.

What about Iron Kids Bread??? It has all the vitamins of wheat bread plus 2 slices of it equals the same amount of calcium of a cup of milk. It is what my pediatrition suggested I give my children, and they love it, and so do I. I like white bread better and to get to eat it and still get the nutrition out of it is great. I am pretty sure that it is made by Sara Lee. I think that your little one should be getting enough fat that he needs from his formula or breastmilk or whole milk that he is drinking right now, so if you don’t want to buy the iron kids bread then I would go for the wheat bread, better to start him on it now than later when he’s older. Good Luck!

White bread is bread made from wheat flour from which the bran and germ have been removed, in contrast to whole wheat bread made from whole wheat flour, in which these parts are retained and contribute a brownish color. White bread is often criticized for being less nutritious than other breads. Most of the vitamins inherent in wheat are removed along with the germ or destroyed in the bleaching process. Most commercial white bread contains little dietary fiber when compared to bread which includes bran.
hope the references will help..

Wheat bread is best & the much needed fat that is important in his development, will come from other sources. Getting him used to wheat bread now is smart.
