At the picnic, there is a plate of 3 dill pickles, 2 bread and butter pickles, and 1 sweet pickle. What is the probability that Shawn will randomly pick a dill pickle and then a sweet pickle to eat?

I’m 15, fairly thin and never had an eating problem, if anything I eat too much. (Thank God for my metabolism.) Sometimes when I’m eating though (Recently, past two weeks) it could be something as small as a piece of toast, halfway through I feel like if I swallow what’s in my mouth I’m going

It’s can be daunting. I was diagnoise with a “Gluten Allergy” 3 years ago. Which is even larger than a Wheat Allergy. But wheat is hidden in lots of foods.
Here are some hints, if it is battered, thickened it has wheat in it, if it was made with a “roux” it has wheat in it. Regular Soy sauce has wheat, all pasta has wheat. I use very tasty alternatives to these. San J Makes a wheat free Tamari, Pasta Joy makes a wonderful Brown Rice pasta that tastes just like regular.
I’m sending you a info site that will be lots of help.

Brown Rice is fine, if you find a Brown Rice Bread READ the label in still may have wheat in it. If a product says Flour it is wheat flour. A non-wheat product SAYS SO!
Lots of luck.

he can still eat rice. there are alternates to wheat in almost any food, so he still has options!
the foods he cannot eat are anything with wheat in it; wheat bread (although he can have rice bread), wheat pasta (rice pasta okay), baked goods containg wheat (rice based fine), etc. always check the label, because sometimes wheat is where you may least expect it, like in a can of soup.
start reading the labels and ingredients of all food. it will say wheat free/ gluten free on it. there are a lot options. don’t worry!
i find health stores to carry a lot of great products, (even rice-based gluten free brownie mix!!) so he can still eat a diet with lots of variety, and still tastes delicious!

Celiac has nothing to do with vegetarianism.
You can go to celiac.com and find out more, though. Or just google it and do your research. Your husband should be aware of how to control his illness as well. When it comes to your (or your husband’s) health, you really should do your homework and not depend on random internet strangers to do it for you. It’s your health.

You should google “gluten free.” Wheat is not just limited to bread, pasta, and such. There are wheat products in most things, even things you wouldn’t think of like lotions, shampoos, and stuff. You should really do some researching on this for your husband’s sake.
