I heard the idea in a song ( Be Back Home – Big Kenny ) and I was enticed to learn how to make it. I’ve searched google and the results show “Breaded chicken” maybe someone has an old family recipe ? (: Thanks!!

At the picnic, there is a plate of 3 dill pickles, 2 bread and butter pickles, and 1 sweet pickle. What is the probability that Shawn will randomly pick a dill pickle and then a sweet pickle to eat?

I’m 15, fairly thin and never had an eating problem, if anything I eat too much. (Thank God for my metabolism.) Sometimes when I’m eating though (Recently, past two weeks) it could be something as small as a piece of toast, halfway through I feel like if I swallow what’s in my mouth I’m going

I would like to bake a German chocolate cake with a Duncan Hines mix. I own a Cuisinart bread maker model cbk 200. The package asks for oil, water and eggs only. However on the bread maker recipe booklet, it requires milk, sour cream and other stuff. Which advice is better to follow, the machine

Here’s some pretty simple recipes:
A Simple Bread Recipe – Basic White Loaf
If you’ve become wary of the ingredients in shop-bought bread or would just like to make your own for economical or other reasons but have never tried it, this simple bread recipe could be just what you’re looking for.
To make two loaves you will need these ingredients. Figures in brackets are imperial measurements – please do not mix the two…
700-800ml (24-27 fluid ounces) water
28g (1oz) salt
28g (1oz) sugar
28g (1oz) yeast
1360g (3lb) plain flour
You will also need 2 bread tins, measuring about 21cm x 11.5cm x 6.5cm (8.5″ x 4.5″ x 2.5″ inches). Alternatively, two 19 cm (7.5″) round cake tins will do instead.
Start by heating the water to about 40C (105F). Add the salt and sugar and dissolve. Cream the yeast with a little of the liquid and then mix with the rest of it.
Carefully weigh the flour into a large basin and add sufficient liquid to make an easily workable dough. This must be kneaded well, so give it a good pounding for a couple of minutes.
Leave it to prove (or double in size) in a warm place for approximately two hours.
Heat the oven to 230C (450F) or gas mark 8.
Grease the tins and then turn your dough out on to a floured board and knead it thoroughly again. Divide it into two and put each piece into one of the greased tins to prove again for about twenty minutes. Bake for approximately 40 minutes until the bread is well browned, and then turn it out of the tins to cool.
This simple bread recipe has been in use for hundreds of years, and has stood the test of time.
Irish Soda Bread
4 cups (16 oz) of all purpose flour.
1 Teaspoon baking soda
1 Teaspoon salt
14 oz of almond milk
Method:
Preheat the oven to 425 F. degrees. Lightly crease and flour a cake pan.
In a large bowl sieve and combine all the dry ingredients.
Add the buttermilk to form a sticky dough. Place on floured surface and lightly knead (too much allows the gas to escape)
Shape into a round flat shape in a round cake pan and cut a cross in the top of the dough.
Cover the pan with another pan and bake for 30 minutes (this simulates the bastible pot). Remove cover and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
The bottom of the bread will have a hollow sound when tapped so show it is done.
Cover the bread in a tea towel and lightly sprinkle water on the cloth to keep the bread moist.

You’re allergic to gluten, rice, eggs and dairy?? My condolences. I can’t have gluten and I have a mild allergy to dairy and eggs, so I avoid them for the most part and take a benadryl when I’m craving them! I looked around and I couldn’t find anything that didn’t have rice in it. I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t have rice. The gluten free is bad enough, but rice helps make it tolerable. I just wanted to say good luck. Sorry I wasn’t of more help!
Kenzi: I think you missed the part about it being gluten free too, but your recipe sounds yummy. I wish we could partake
edit: I’m not sure where you’re getting your info, but rye flour does contain gluten. It’s lower in gluten than wheat, but it’s still in there.

Rye flour does not contain gluten. In order to make it rise you need sour dough (starter available as powder).
Ingredients: rye flour, water, sour dough, salt. Let the dough rest for at least 6 – 12 hours. What you get is a German type of bread.
Take a sample of the dough and use it as starter for the next bread.

Hi! I am in the process of adding a page to my website offering custom bread recipes and custom breads. I already sell a gluten free recipe package which are recipes I created for myself over the last 3 years after being diagnosed with celiac. The recipes are free of gluten, dairy, eggs, yeast and soy. They are rice based, however. Lately, I’ve been getting calls from people with different allergies asking me to create recipes specific to their allergies. My recipes use the old fashioned sourdough technique which is easily digested and has a long shelf life. Tastes great, too! Please contact me if you are interested in this service or have questions or comments and good luck! http://www.food-medicine.com
