well hey at least yours went up mine went down lol i have the same bread maker as you and i did everthing it told me to do and it went wrong several of times i just returned it and got my moneys worth and bought a different bread maker and it WORKS lol thats really all i can say.

You may have added too much yeast, or the bread was a portion that was to large for your breadmaker. I have tried to stay away from the breadmaker box mixes and follow the recipes that I received with the bread maker. They are better suited for you bread machine and will give you the correct proportioning for its size. Good luck and please try again. I love mine and love the smell of fresh baking bread that spreads through the house.

Here’s my Dad’s white bread recipie
2 1/4 C bread flour
1 tsp salt
2 Tbs sugar
1 Tbs butter
1 Tbs powdered milk
7/8 C water (add last)
1&1/2 tsp yeast (this goes in the little hatch in the top)
set on” bake light” and there you go GOOD LUCK

most bread makers have recipes for 1.5 and 2 pound loaves. My machine has the same problem as yours. I imagine you used a recipe for a 2 pound loaf, try using a 1.5 pound recipe, I did that and never had a problem since.
