Hype about white bread and losing weight?

Any idea why white bread is so hated by people trying to lose weight? I feel guilty cause i had one with peanut butter. But I’m an active person (Doing insanity: Asylum) So any ideas guys?

I accidentally picked up gulten free yeast and I dont want to drive back up to the store to exchange it. Can I use it in my regular bread recipe? Or do I need to find a special recipe that is compatible with the gluten free yeast?

I’ve got this recipe for meatloaf where it says to put a layer of bacon strips on the top to top it off. But the only bacon in my local stores is in those flat family-sized packs and eating all that bacon in one sitting would probably kill me. Can I divy up a flat pack of bacon and freeze it in bachelorette-sized portions for future breakfasts? If I can, whats the best container/wrapping for freezing bacon (say in six strip portions)?
One more question (and thank you for all the answers so far 
), when I take out a portion to cook it, do I need to defrost it first or can I just drop it frozen in the fry pan?

I just bought a bread machine and used a pizza dough recipe and the timer started at 1 hour and 20 minutes. The dough was completely kneaded after about 10 minutes. Could I take it out then or should I wait until the timer goes off?

I gave up sweets/desserts for Lent. If I eat a healthier, lighter version of banana bread, would that be cheating? Is banana bread even a dessert/sweet, or is it a bread?

I am unable to find almond oil in any store where I live (small town) and need to make a bread which calls for almond oil. I could only find almond extract. The recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of the oil. How much extract would I use in place of the oil?

I have a wonderful yeast bread recipe. It makes two loaves. I would like to make one loaf of bread, and use the rest to make muffins. Is this safe to do, or will it turn out as a disaster?
I don’t use muffin papers, so that isn’t a concern of mine. For making muffins or rolls, would I need to adjust the cook time or temperature at all?
